During the presentation of the Citroen DS at the Paris motor show in October 1955, the public and the press were completely blown away by the DS. The DS turned out to be unimpeded by existing conventions in the field of technology and design, and headlines with bold letters referred to as "la Bombe Citroën". It was then, and even now, the most progressive car ever. Never before in a car were so many innovations in design and technology applied simultaneously.
