Volkswagen 1302 Cabriolet -1972

This Volkswagen is originally delivered by Old Country Motors in New Jersey to Mr. Daniel J. Coughlin for the price of $ 2.706 dollar. We know 1972 was a leap-year because the date of invoice is 29th of Februari. In the purchase price was included: white wall tires, undercoating and an AM/FM radio. The purchase documents and invoice are still present with the car ! The last owner had the car in his possession for more than 25 years ! He had the car garage stored and had it for recreational use only.  Invoices are present, the last owner had it maintained at one and the same garage since his purchase.

This original 1302 Karmann version is only shortly produced between 1971 and 1972. This 1302 model has the classic model features as the flat windscreen, Volkswagen-logo on the hood and "church window" rear lights. But with the modern technique of the 1303, such as Mc Pherson suspension which delivers larger bootspace, and the1600 two port engine.

The Volkswagen has it's original color Saturn Yellow with black interior, a sunny and rare colorscheme. This originally US version has a lot of extra chrome which shines beautifully. The Volkswagen is in a very nice condition with little traces of use belonging to it's 48 years.

The Volkswagen has the powerfull 1600 engine which runs very good and the transmission shifts easily through the gears. This car runs and drives as an air-cooled VW should: just great! Air-cooled Volkswagens are today undiminished popular and these convertibles especially. Enjoy the summer in this super sunny Volkswagen Cabriolet!!

With the optional Lemmerz GT wheels, extra luggage-rack for on the back, and the original ownersmanual.
