Morris Minor Van -1969

The Morris Minor is the famous and iconic British car of the postwar period, designed for the middle class by Sir Alec Issigonis. The Morris Minor came in three generations. Fist series: from 1948 with the pre-war side valve engine and the headlights next to the grille also called the "Lowlight". From 1952 to 1956, the series II: with a modernised 800 cc overhead valve engine, and the new front. From 1956 to 1971, the series III, also called the Morris Minor 1000, with an 948 cc engine and later enlarged  to 1098cc. This Morris Minor Commercial Van differs from saloons, convertibles and travellers because of it's separate chassis, on to which either a van back or a pick-up bed could be bolted. The main users of these vehicles were government agencies as the the Royal Mail or middle class entrepreneurs like greengrocers and bakers.

This unique Morris Minor Van is from the second owner who used these Morris Minor van's as a commercial cars in it's family bakery. The car has been restored and has a very sound body and chassis. The paintwork finished in British racing green is in a very neat condition with some traces of use. The interior is in tobacco and original.

This Morris commercial van has a great appearence and is very recognisable by a broad audience, whereby it's ideally suitable as a  promotional vehicle for businesses. Off course also easily accessible for use as classic workhorse.

The car goes with history documentation and the original ownersmanual. Because of it's using purpose very little of these cars have remained, so rare!
